Peco Champions - Privacy Policy
The Peco Champions app, developed by Peco Power (Pty) Ltd, is a free to use app, which is used by registered Peco Power employees, hence forth referred to as Champions. The Peco Champions application is intended to be used by Champions to manage their work tickets, register new customer details and interest in Peco Power Products, and report any faults which customers face in the operation of their devices. The app is committed to protecting the privacy of its users. This Privacy Policy outlines how personal information is collected, used, and safeguarded when using the Peco Champions App.
The Peco Champions app does not collect or transfer any personal information from its users to third-party developers.
Collection of Information
GPS Location
The application will request the fine location permission from the user to search the user’s location in the form of the user’s GPS co-ordinates. Granting this permission enables the Champion to request their GPS co-ordinates at the location in which the installation of Peco Power products takes place. Denying this permission will prevent users from requesting their location data in-app during installations and will need to manually request for this information through third-party applications.
The location co-ordinates will be collected and stored on a remote a server owned by Peco Power (PTY) Ltd. and will be used by the developer as a record of existing customers should any repair work, new installations, collections or replacements be needed by the customer. It is important to note that the data stored is only applicable to Peco Power customers who have agreed to the rent-to-own agreement. As such any data collected through the Peco Champions app will only be stored for the length of time outlined in the rent-to-own agreement. Once the period outlined in the agreement has lapsed, the collected data will then be disposed of. It is important to note that no location information is read, stored, or transmitted to any third party during this process.

Camera access
Additionally, this application will request camera access from the user. These permissions are explicitly used during the on-boarding or signup procedures; to capture images of customer identity documents to verify their identity and to capture images as part of the post-installation process; where pictures of the installation is taken for work completed for verification and record keeping purposes. Denying this permission will prevent users from capturing images in-app during the onboarding and post-installation process and will need to capture and upload these images through third-party applications.
The images captured using the camera will be collected and stored on a remote server owned by Peco Power (PTY) Ltd. and will be used for record-keeping purposes only. It is important to note that the data stored is only applicable to Peco Power customers who have agreed to the rent-to-own agreement. As such any data collected through the Peco Champions app will only be stored for the length of time outlined in the rent-to-own agreement. Once the period outlined in the agreement has lapsed, the collected data will then be disposed of. It is important to note that, due to the sensitive nature of the images captured, the images captured through the Peco Champions app will not be stored locally on the user’s device. Media Storage Read Access
This application also requests permissions from the user to read media data from the Champion’s gallery. This data is used primarily used as an alternative to the camera functionality during the post-installation procedures. During those procedures, the Champions will be prompted to either take a new picture of the work completed or to select images taken from Champion’s phone gallery application. Denying these permissions will prevent the Champions ability to access and upload images taken prior to the completion of work. Only images used in the post-installation process will be collected and stored on a remote
server owned by Peco Power (PTY) Ltd. and will be used for verification of installation record-keeping purposes only. No additional images will be uploaded without the consent of the user. It is important to note that the data stored is only applicable to Peco Power customers who have agreed to the rent-to-own agreement. As such any data collected through the Peco Champions app will only be stored for the length of time outlined in the rent-to-own agreement. Once the period outlined in the agreement has lapsed, the collected data will then be disposed of. Any information captured will not be read, stored, or transmitted to any third party during this process.

Third-Patry Libraries
The app uses a third-party service to facilitate certain functionalities.
Microsoft Authentication is employed to authenticate Peco Champion users within the app, this is accessed on-startup on the login page. This authentication process occurs within the app where users can sign in using a Microsoft account created in the Peco Champions application’s tenant. Only Microsoft accounts added as users have access to this feature. Any user authentication information collected during the authentication process with Microsoft Authentication is solely for the purpose of authentication and is not stored or shared with the developer.
SignatureView is an open-source Android library which allows developers to produce pen and paper-like effects for creating signatures on Android. This library is employed to allow Peco Power customers to confirm their explicit consent and identity through their signature and stores it as a Bitmap image. All information collected through the library is stored in a database for record keeping purposes only. No information is stored, read or transmitted to third-party services. Signature information will be stored in accordance with the Collection of Information section outlined in the Privacy policy.
